Get A Perfect Golf Swing

One thing every golfer is looking for is the perfect golf swing. The swing is the single most important item in the golf game and one of the hardest things to perfect. The swing combines balance, power and physics to form a consistent result. The key to the golf swing is practicing proper form until it comes as second nature to you.

The very best way to get the perfect golf swing is to have a professional show you what you are doing wrong, and to work with you on a daily basis. This is almost impossible to come by, but you can find pros at some golf courses that offer lessons. You aren’t going to get Tiger Woods, but you may find someone with a good solid swing who can help you figure out what you are doing wrong. The perfect golf swing will come in time, but a professional is a great shortcut to getting it.

Another way to work towards the perfect golf swing is to just have someone watch you swing. When I first swung a golf club, I had no idea what I was doing, but my husband was there to help me. He knows what you must do to have the perfect golf swing, even though he can’t quite get it himself. Knowing and doing are two different things. As long as someone knows what to look for, even if they do not yet have a perfect golf swing, they can still give you pointers to help you improve. I thought I was doing well, but quickly became frustrated. My husband pointed out that I was dropping my shoulder, and my swing improved greatly just from that one observation.

Think of your arms and body as winding on an imaginary axis. Keep your head down and your eyes on the ball during the entire swing. Bring the arms down and use your legs to push more power to the shot. The follow through is also important. The ball will go in the direction of the follow-through.

Practice makes perfect. A good golf swing takes years to perfect. Beginners may do well to get golf lessons. An instructor can help you start off with the correct grip, stance and swing. Once you get into the habit of a particular way of swinging the club it is very hard to change. An instructor can evaluate your swing and give you pointers on how to improve it.

Can A Long Golf Shaft Improve Your Game?

The buzz around the golfing industry is How Long is Too Long for your golf shaft. Most experts agree that having a longer shaft can and does improve your golf game. More and more golfers are reaching past 45 inches in shaft length.

The benefit to golfers is believed to be a fast swing speed. The longer the shaft the bigger the radius. The larger the radius the faster the head of the club will strike the ball. Of course, with a higher club contact speed the further the golf ball will travel.

Of course all of this depends on your atheletic ability to handle a longer shaft. If you are still a beginner this probably won’t benefit your game much. If you play and are a skilled golfer, the longer shaft may just give you the edge you’ve been looking for.
